High Achievers

Our aim at 果冻影院 is to support all students to achieve their best. In addition, those students with special talents and those who are considered gifted and talented receive special support. Students can expect to be stretched and challenged in individual subject specialisms where they have real gifts. Each department offers a programme of activities and visits which have as their aim to widen the experience in a particular subject and to open up new worlds of understanding beyond the confines of the A level or GCSE specifications.

Those who have talents in sport, music or drama can be involved in the wide-ranging extra curricular programme, details of which are discussed at interview.

We also offer specialist Oxbridge preparation and subject entry test preparation for high achievers in individual subjects. Historically, more than one in three of the college’s Oxbridge applications have been successful in being offered a place.

Liel Hochberg and Isabel Medina shared The Winifred Durnford Prize for best performance in A level Social Science subjects. Seraphina Western and Jenna-Lily Morgan Miller shared The Huw Thomas Prize for the best performance in A level Humanities subjects. Seraphina joined 果冻影院 from Sevenoaks School for our two-year A level course in Economics, English Literature and History. She achieved grades A*A*A and is taking a gap year. Jenna-Lily joined 果冻影院 from Bromley High School for our two-year A level course in Law, History and Psychology. Hazel Lai won The Martin Dyson Prize for the best performance in A level Science subjects. Hazel joined 果冻影院 from Queen Anne鈥檚 School for our two-year A level course in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. She achieved grades A*A A and won a place to read Pharmacology at University College London.听听

Ilia Mouzaki and Hannah Zheng shared The Denise Callaghan Prize for the best performance in A level Arts subjects. Ilia joined 果冻影院 from St Catherine鈥檚 British School for our one-year A level course in Art & Design, Photography and Modern Greek. She achieved grades A*A*A and won a place to study Architectural and Interdisciplinary Studies at University College London. Hannah joined 果冻影院 from China for our two-year A level course in Art & Design, Textiles and Chinese. Emilie Torfs听won The John McSkimming Medical Sciences Prize. Emilie joined 果冻影院 from Belgium for our two-year A level course in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, and Sociology. She achieved grades AAAB and won a place to read Dentistry at the University of Amsterdam.听听

Bella Platts-Martin and Venus Raman听shared The 果冻影院 Prize for the best performance by a one-year A level student. Bella joined 果冻影院 from Notting Hill and Ealing High School for our one-year A level course in Geography, Psychology and Sociology. She achieved grades A*A*A and has won a place to read Liberal Arts at the University of Exeter. Venus joined 果冻影院 from Notting Hill and Ealing High School for our one-year A level course in Art and Design and Mathematics. She achieved grades A*A* and won a place to read Land Economy at the University of Cambridge.听听

Abigail Nutland听won The Martin Lailey Geography Prize for the best performance in A level Geography. Abigail joined 果冻影院 from Box Hill School for our two-year A level course in Geography, Economics and English Literature. She achieved grades A*AB alongside an A for her EPQ on: How the Chinese trade of porcelain, tea and silk with the West influenced past and current societies and economies and contributed to the opium wars. Abigail won a place to read Geography at University College London.听听

Ibraheem Al-Saraf and Evan Keskinel听shared The 果冻影院 Prize for Mathematics. Ibraheem joined 果冻影院 from Kingston Grammar School for our two-year A level course in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. He achieved grades A*A*AB and won a place to read Mathematics at the University of Bristol. Evan joined 果冻影院 from Albemarle Independent College for our two-year A level course in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. Carolina Eichacker won The Sylvia Trott Prize for Languages. Carolina joined 果冻影院 from Ibstock Place School for our two-year A level course in French, Mathematics and Physics. She achieved grades AAA and won a place to read French and German at the University of Edinburgh.听

Orson Savage won The 果冻影院 Prize for English Literature. Orson joined 果冻影院 from The King Edward鈥檚 School, Bath for our one-year A level course in English Literature, Mathematics and Spanish. He achieved grades A*AA and won a place to read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Durham University.听

Lucas Kane听won The 果冻影院 Prize for best performance by an A level retake student. Lucas joined 果冻影院 from Albemarle Independent College where he had achieved grades DE in A level Business and Economics. He retook both subjects as well as A level Mathematics from scratch over one year, achieving grades ABB. Lucas won a place to read Economics with Innovation at the University of Bristol.听听

James Dodd won The 果冻影院 Prize for best performance by a lower-sixth student. James joined 果冻影院 from Bandon Grammar School for our two-year A level course in Mathematics, Physics and Politics and has achieved top grades in his end-of-year exams.听

Minseo Kim and Ziyu Liu shared The Laura Freeman Prize for the best performance at GCSE. Minseo joined 果冻影院 from Australia and took nine GCSE subjects over one year. She achieved grades 999999888. She has now progressed into the sixth form at 果冻影院 to study A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Ziyu joined 果冻影院 from Gordonstoun School and took nine GCSE subjects over one year. She achieved grades 9,9,9,9,9,9,9,8,8. Ziyu has now progressed into the sixth form at 果冻影院 to study A level Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.听

Alya Musallam听won The 果冻影院 Prize for best performance by a NCUK student. Alya joined 果冻影院 from Cheltenham Ladies鈥� College for our one-year NCUK course in English, Mathematics (Engineering), Physics and Business Studies. She achieved grades A*A*AB and won a place to read Engineering at King鈥檚 College London.听听

Marva Gojayeva won The 果冻影院 Prize for best performance by a University Foundation Programme student. Marva joined 果冻影院 from Azerbaijan for our UFP course She achieved a Distinction and won a place to read International Relations at Queen Mary University London.听听

Yelyzaveta Vinohradova won The 果冻影院 Prize for best performance by a UAL Foundation student. Yelyzaveta joined 果冻影院 from Ukraine for our one-year UAL Foundation Programme. She achieved a Distinction and won a place to read Fashion Design at ESMOD Paris.听

Cameron Freestone won The 果冻影院 Endeavour prize. He joined 果冻影院 from Bahrain for our two-year A level course in Business Studies, Geography and Ceramics. He achieved grades AAB and won a place to read Product and Industrial Design at the University of the Arts London.听

He re-took all three subjects over one year, achieving grades A*A*A. Arthur won a place to read Physics with Philosophy at the University of York.

Mieko Wu won the University Foundation Prize. Mieko joined 果冻影院 from Japan for our one-year UFP course. She achieved a Distinction overall and won a place to read Business Management at the University of Birmingham.

Isabella Rose Nichols won The Denise Callaghan Best Performance in A level Arts subjects. Joshua Ong won The Martin Dyson Prize for the best performance in A level Science subjects. Joshua joined 果冻影院 from Singapore for our 18-month programme in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. He achieved grades AAA and is returning to Singapore to complete his national military service after which he will apply to UK universities.

Olivier joined 果冻影院 from Epsom College, where he had achieved grades BCC in A level Geography, Mathematics and Physics. He re-took Geography and Mathematics and completed Politics from scratch over one year, achieving grades A*AA. Olivier won a place to read Geography at Durham University.

Saffina Tarbuck won The 果冻影院 Prize for best performance by a Year 12 transfer student. Saffina joined 果冻影院 from Bryanston School to complete the second year of her A level programme in Photography, English Literature and Geography. She achieved grades A*AA and is currently taking a gap year.

Allegra joined 果冻影院 from St Clare鈥檚, Oxford for our one-year course in听Art & Design, Ceramics and History of Art. He consistently achieved excellent grades throughout Year 12, including grades AA in his AS exams for Biology and Business.

Sakonkit joined 果冻影院 from Thailand for our one-year NCUK Engineering pathway courses in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. She achieved grades A*A*A and won a place to read Computer Science at the University of Cardiff.

Ngoc Thao Nguyen won the 果冻影院 Prize for the best performance on the UAL Foundation Programme. Thao joined 果冻影院 from Vietnam for the one-year UAL Foundation course. She achieved a Distinction and won a place at to read Interior and Spatial Design at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL.

Sok Gech Cheng joined 果冻影院 in January 2023 for our University Foundation Programme in Business. She achieved a Distinction overall and is now reading Business and Management at City University.

Aizhan joined 果冻影院 from Kazakhstan for our two-year A level course in Geography, Mathematics and Psychology. She achieved grades AAA and won a place to read Psychology at University College, London.

CHRISTOPHER SHARP听won The Huw Thomas Humanities Prize for the best overall performance in A level Humanities subjects. Christopher joined 果冻影院 from Emanuel School for our one-year GCSE course. He went on to take a two-year A level course in History, Religious Studies, Sociology and English. He achieved grades AAAB and won a place read English and History at the University of Exeter.

EDWARD KERR-DINEEN听and听NUR A鈥橳IKAH BINTE YAHYA听shared The Martin Dyson Prize for the best performance in A level Science subjects. Edward joined 果冻影院 from Wellington College for our twoyear A level course in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics and Physics. He achieved grades A*A*AA, including Mathematics a year early, and won a place to read Astrophysics at University College, London. Nur A鈥檛ikah joined 果冻影院 from Singapore for our one-year A level course in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. She achieved grades A*A*A and is applying to read Medicine at university.

TATIANA FREEMAN听won The Sylvia Trott Prize for Languages. Tatiana joined 果冻影院 from the Harrodian School for our two-year A level course in French, History and Spanish. She achieved grades AAA and won a place to read French and History at the University of Warwick.

JOHN JAYNE听won The 果冻影院 Prize for Mathematics. John joined 果冻影院 from Dulwich College for our one-year GCSE course, achieving grades A*A*A*A*A*A*A*A. He then went on to take our two-year A level course in Chemistry, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. He achieved grades A*A*A*A, including Mathematics a year early, and won a place to read Mathematics at the University of Chicago.

VENETIA LEE听and听WILLIAM HYSLOP听shared The 果冻影院 Prize for the best performance by an A level retake student. Venetia joined 果冻影院 from Fortismere School, where she had achieved grades BCC in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. She retook all three subjects over a year and achieved grades A*AA. Venetia won a place to read General Engineering at Durham University. William joined 果冻影院 from Radley College, where he had achieved grades BBBB in Economics, History, Mathematics and Politics. He retook all four subjects over two terms and achieved grades AAAA. William won a place to read History and Politics at the University of Exeter.

MICHAEL ZOTOV听won The 果冻影院 Prize for the best performance by a lower-sixth student. Michael joined 果冻影院 from Israel for our two-year A level course in Economics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. At the end of his first year he achieved grade A* in A level Mathematics and grades AA in AS level Economics and Physics. He has now gone on to A2 study in Economics, Further Mathematics and Physics and is applying to read Mathematics at university.

OLIVER STEELE听won The Laura Freeman Prize for the best performance at GCSE. Oliver joined 果冻影院 from King鈥檚 College School, Wimbledon and took eight GCSE subjects over one year, achieving grades A*A*A*AAAAA. He continued on to the sixth form at 果冻影院 to study English Literature, French, German and History.

NADINE TANGIE听won the 果冻影院 IFP Prize. Nadine joined 果冻影院 from Malaysia for our one-year University Foundation Programme. She achieved a Distinction and won a place to read Economics and Politics at SOAS. Nadine was awarded a commendation by the London School of Economics for gaining the highest mark in the 2015 International Relations examination. Nadine was also awarded the Conference for Independent Education national award for Outstanding Performance on a university Foundation course.

QINGYAN ZHANG听won The 果冻影院 Outstanding Achievement Award. Qingyan joined 果冻影院 from China for our two-year A level course in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Economics. She achieved grades A*A*A*A, including Mathematics a year early, and maximum marks in six Mathematics units and two Physics units. Qingyan won a place to read Economics at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge.

TUAN TROUNG VAN NGUYEN听won The Principal鈥檚 Award for overall contribution to college life. Van joined 果冻影院 from Churchlands School for our 18-month A level course in Economics, History of Art, Mathematics and Philosophy. She achieved grades A*A*AA and won a place to read Management at the London School of Economics.

IMOGEN DODD听and听ISABELLA MARTINEZ-SISTAC OROZCO听shared The Huw Thomas Prize for the best overall performance in A level Humanities subjects. Imogen joined 果冻影院 from Lady Margaret School for our two-year A level course in History, Law and Religious Studies. She achieved grades A*AA and won a place to read Law at Queen Mary, University of London. Isabella joined 果冻影院 from a Foundation programme at University College London for our one-year A level course. She achieved grades A*A*A* in English, History and Religious Studies and a grade A in AS level French, including maximum marks in six units. Isabella won a place to read Law at the London School of Economics.

ADAM LEBBY听and听ARTHUR REDHEAD听shared The John McSkimming Medical Sciences Prize. Adam joined 果冻影院 from John Hampden Grammar School for our two-year A level course. He achieved grades A*AA in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics and a grade B in AS level English. Adam won place to read Medicine at St George鈥檚, University of London. Arthur joined 果冻影院 from St Benedict鈥檚 to complete the second year of his A level course in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. He achieved grades AAA and won a place to read Medicine at Plymouth University.

KATHERINE SLOANE听won The Winifred Durnford Prize for the best overall performance in A level Social Science subjects. Katherine joined 果冻影院 from Aylesbury School to complete the second year of her A level course in Government and Politics, English and History. She achieved grades A*AA and won a place to read English at the University of Leeds.

CALUM WILMOT听won The Sylvia Trott Prize for Languages. Calum joined 果冻影院 from Hampton School for our two-year A level course in French, Spanish and History. He achieved grades AAB and won a place to read Modern Foreign Languages at the University of Southampton.

ELEANOR BRUNTON听and听OLIVIA HAMMOND听shared The Denise Callahan Prize for the best performance in A level Arts subjects. Eleanor joined 果冻影院 from Walthamstow Hall School for our two-year A level course. She achieved grades A*A*B in Psychology, Sociology and Photography and won a place to read Psychology at the University of Manchester. Olivia joined 果冻影院 from Wellington College for our two-year A level course. She achieved grades A*AA in Religious Studies, Economics and History and won a place to read Philosophy at the University of Bristol.

HAI DOAN BUI听and听YEQIN CHEN听shared The 果冻影院 Mathematics Prize. Hai joined 果冻影院 from Vietnam for our two-year A level course. He achieved grades A*A*A*B in Economics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and French and also a merit in the Advanced Extension Award for Mathematics. Hai won a place to read Economics at University College London. Yeqin joined 果冻影院 from CATS College Cambridge for our two-year A level course in Economics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. She achieved grades A*A*A*A and won a place to read Economics at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge.

AMIN KARAMLOU听and听JIE ZHANG听shared The Martin Dyson Prize for the best performance in A level Science subjects. Amin joined 果冻影院 for our two-year A level course in Mathematics, Physics, Economics and Further Mathematics. He achieved grades A*A*AA and won a place to read Computing at Imperial College, London. Jie joined 果冻影院 for our two-year A level course in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Further Mathematics. She achieved grades A*A*A*A and won a place to read Chemistry at University College London.

HARRY STEBBINGS听won The 果冻影院 Prize the best performance by a lower-sixth transfer student. Harry joined 果冻影院 from Felsted School and achieved a grade A* in A level History and grades AAC in AS level English, Politics and Economics. He has now gone on to A2 study in English Literature and Politics.

ALICE CARTER-PEGG听won The 果冻影院 Prize for the best performance by an A level retake student. Alice joined 果冻影院 from Woldingham School, where she had achieved grades BDD in Economics, Mathematics and Physics. She took our intensive, short retake courses in all three A level subjects and achieved grades A*AA. Alice won a place to read Accounting and Finance at the University of East Anglia.

HENRY HOUGHTON听and听EDWARD KERR-DINEEN听shared the The 果冻影院 Prize for the best performance by a lower-sixth student. Henry joined 果冻影院 from Eton College, achieving grades AAA in AS level Economics, Latin and Mathematics. He has now gone on to A2 study in these subjects alongside AS level Greek and is applying to read Economics at university. Edward joined 果冻影院 from Wellington College, achieving grade A* in A level Mathematics and grades AA in AS level Economics and Physics. He has now gone on to A2 study in Economics, Physics and Further Mathematics and is applying to read Physics at university.

MATHILDA WOOD听won The Laura Freeman Prize for the best performance at GCSE. Mathilda joined 果冻影院 from Sunrise Academy and took nine subjects over one year, achieving grades A*A*A*A*A*A*AAA. She is currently in her lower-sixth year at Harris Academy Westminster.
