I would like to invite you to join us for a tour of Krishna Avanti Primary School , enabling you to see the Avanti offer for Leicester.听Whilst we have already held two in person Open Days, 听 we warmly invite you to come and see what we offer and get the answers to any questions you may have. Applications

To apply for a place at Krishna Avanti Primary School, Leicester, here鈥檚 what you need to do:

  1. Check when your child is due to start – click here to check: What year is my child in?
  2. Read the Admissions Policy. Take note of the oversubscription criteria as you may have elements that which give you priority over others should we receive more applicants than places.
  3. Complete the and return it to the Council offices. The deadline for submitting this form is 15th January 2024.
  4. Parents must also complete a Supplementary Information Form (SIF)听if wishing to apply for a place on the basis of Hindu practice or for an ISKCON Leicester place. Please download the form from the link below.听The SIF must be returned to the School office and听not听to the City Council, no later 15th January 2024. The office address is on the form.

Any application received after the closing date will be considered after all of those completed and submitted on time.

What happens next:

Offers of Reception places will be emailed to applicants from the City Council on 听16th April 2024. A letter will also be sent by second class post.

Unsuccessful applicants will be placed on a waiting list. If a place becomes available this will be allocated using the School鈥檚 Admissions Policy and over subscriptions criteria.

Unsuccessful applicants have the right to appeal once every academic year – information will be sent with the decision letter from the City Council.

Changes to your application?

Please inform the respective council and Krishna Avanti Primary School immediately of any change of address in writing and ensure that you follow up within 10 working days to confirm details have been received.

Appeals

If you wish to appeal against the decision not to offer your child a place at the school, for your appeal to be heard in the main round of appeals it must be submitted by 15th May 听2024. To submit an appeal please complete the appeal form, which is available from the Leicester Council website by clicking
